Michael (Butch) Lynn Baity

Michael Lynn “Butch” Baity, age 51 of Valley Nursing Center, Taylorsville, passed away Saturday November 20, 2010 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born January 3, 1959 in Alexander County to the late David Atwell Baity and Martha Ann Dellinger. Mr. Baity was a furniture worker and a member of Hiddenite Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Paternal grandparents, Homer and Mattie Baity; Maternal Grandparents, Gill and Ann Dellinger; and one nephew, Wesley Boyd Shephard. He is survived by one sister, Tammy Baity Shephard and husband Boyd of Taylorsville; one nephew, Michael Lloyd Shephard; and one niece, Crystal Ann Shephard. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Wednesday November 24, 2010 at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sam Vallini will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hiddenite Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00pm Wednesday prior to the funeral service at Chapman Funeral Home.
