Joe Henry Ward 49, of 508 4 th St. Place SW, Hildebran, passed away Wednesday April 8, 2009 at his home. He was born February 9, 1960 in Durham County to Mary Sumpter Ward of Hickory and the late Joe G Ward. He worked as a tow motor operator for the Carolina Container Company and was a member of Truth Tabernacle
United Pentecostal Church in Hildebran.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda C. Ward.
Joe is survived by his wife, Karen Bowman Ward of the home; two sons, Daniel Adam Ward and Joseph Alvin Ward; one daughter, Bethany Joan Ward all of the home; one brother, Alvin Joe Ward of Morganton; three sisters, Norma Damico of Tampa Fl., Ellen Smart of Granite Falls, Linda Collins of Vale.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday April 11, 2009 at the Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Gerald Huntley and Rev. Ray York will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Teague-Munday cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, April 10, 2009 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm at Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church.

| Sorry to hear about your loss, I didn't know Joe personally but on reading about him I was sadden. The Bible holds out a wonderful hope of the resurrection at John 5:28,29. I hope you get confort in reading God's word the Bible and again sorry for your loss.
