Shane is laid to rest now but I still want to express (once again) my condolences to Sharon, Tori, and all the family. This fine young gentleman was like another one of my boys as he grew up with TJ. There was never a dull moment in his presence and he always made us laugh! He had a way of lifting my spirits on some of my darkest days. We enjoyed him on vacations with us (once at the beach with only him, TJ, and myself) and the weekend in Gatlingburg for my daughter's wedding, we had the best of times!! Shane was full of life and brightened everyone's path he ever crossed. He will be sorely missed but NEVER forgotten!!! God be with you and give you strength and bestow on you His grace to get though this difficult time. Rest assured SHWAG is riding along the golden streets now and popping all the wheelies he can to entertain all the angels. I'm just a phone call away if you need anything, remember that and don't hesitate one minute (if nothing but to talk to another mom). I loved Shane like one of my own and he was as welcome in my home as any of my own. He was a blessing and joy to us all! God bless each of you!
Always, Elaine Davis (TJ's mom) - Statesville, NC
Sharon, I am so sorry to hear about Shane. You know Shane and I shared some "puppy Love" in middle school and I remember he always could make me laugh when I was at my lowest. He stole the heart of my family! He was a great guy and you did a wonderful job raising him. I am sorry of your loss. I will always remember Shane.

Didn't know Shane for very long before I moved away, but he was a good, funny guy who will be missed by all who knew him. I still remember me, him, and TJ walking home for about five miles in the middle of the night after my car got stuck in the mud, or us going down to Salisbury or the bowling alley on the weekends and shooting pool. Try to remember the good times...Rest in peace, Shane

I have known Shane since he was very young. He was one of the most energetic strong willed kids I ever meet. You see he grew up near my home where he often visited he was friends with my two sons Travis & Tony. I had the privilege of coaching him in baseball-Soccer-& football. I have alot of great memories of Shane that I've thought of over the past few days. He will be greatly missed but NEVER forgotten.

I did not know Shane very long. He dated daughter Mandy. What little time that I did know of him, he was a good and sweet young man. My heart and my prayers are with his family and friends.
God Bless, Kathy Travis - Catawba, NC
I taught Shane in 6th grade. He was one of those students who keep you laughing, guessing, and on your toes at all times! It was my first year of teaching, and he made it a very wonderful experience. I often wonder about my students and what they are doing. I knew this young man would lead a very fulfilling life. My heart goes out to Sharon and Tori and the rest of Shane's family. I know he is in Heaven smiling down on everyone! God placed that young man in my life just as he placed him in all of yours. I am a better person for knowing Shane--He taught me a lot! If you ever need anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask.
All of my love and support in this time of sadness,

I played baseball with Shane in elementary school, and had just about every class with him up to high school untill he left and went to Alexander County, very funny guy, could ALWAYS make you laugh and keep a smile on your face, NEVER a dull moment around him.
