Lillie Messick Tronjo, age 102 of Brian Center formerly of 432 Denton St., Statesville passed away Tuesday June 8, 2010 at Brian Center of Statesville. She was born September 5, 1907 in Iredell County to the late Arthur Lewis Messick and Sallie Wilson Messick. She was a retired waitress and was also a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cephus Pope; second husband, Freddy Tronjo; two brothers, Reid Messick and James Messick; two sisters, Edna Barker and Lottie Estes; one step sister, Elizabeth Sherrill.

She is survived by one daughter, Margarit Orlando of FL; two grandchildren, Jamee Carangelo and Ricky Orlando; one great grandchild, Bianca Carangelo; a special friend, Jackie McMahon; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00pm Friday June 11, 2010 at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Phil Addison will officiate. Burial will follow in the Stony Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00pm at Chapman Funeral Home.
