Jamie Scott Spera, age 51, of 150 Elliott Brann MHP, Hiddenite, passed away, Saturday October 24, 2009 at his home, unexpectedly. He was born on March 11, 1958 in Salina, Kansas, to Hazel Kerley Spera of Hiddenite and the late William Milward Spera. Mr. Spera served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years, was a truck driver. He was also a member of Liledoun Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother he is survived by one son, Jeremy Scott Spera of Hiddenite; one brother, William Michael Spera of Saudi Arabia; one sister, Tammy Jane S. Stafford Oliver of Taylorsville; three nephews; two nieces; three grand nephews and two grand nieces.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00am Friday October 30, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Oren will officiate. Military rights will be conducted. The family will have no formal visitation.
