Patsy Maddux Smith, age 59 of 258 Apple House Lane, Taylorsville passed away Friday April 30, 2010 at her home after a period of declining health. She was born May 21, 1950 in Alamance County to the late William Paul Bradshaw and Maggie Viola Castle Bradshaw. She was a homemaker, loving wife and grandmother. She was also of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Josie Walker Rogers and Madeline Ireland; and step son, James T Smith, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Smith of the home; four daughters, April Lund and husband Chris of the home, Judy Brown of Burlington, Donna Carpenter and husband Adam of Taylorsville, Robin Fox and husband Chris of Taylorsville; step daughter, Joanna Bridges and husband Lynn of Snow Camp; one brother, Carlton Maddux and wife Carol of Fl.; fifteen grandchildren, Stephen, Blair, Brandy, Joseph, Jennifer, Bryan, Melissa, Lorie, Matt, Kimberly, Michael, Brittany, Katie, James and Brandon; ten great grandchildren, Abbie, Shauna, Maddie, Nick, Hannah, Alexis, Brianna, Sara, Austin, Hope.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Tuesday May 4, 2010 at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chapman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Teague-Munday Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30pm Monday evening at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include: Matt Radford, Chad Gantt, Michael Ford, Adam Carpenter, Jason Fox and Michael Smith.
