Gertrude Arnold Smith, age 91 of Brians Center of Statesville passed away Sunday March 28, 2010 at Brians Center. She was born January 13, 1919 in Berkley, CA to the late Edwin Arnold Smith and Gertrude Thomas Arnold Smith. She was a secretary and a member of Welcome Baptist Church in Statesville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James B Smith; one son, Marlin Brian Smith.
She is survived by one son, Dale Mixon Smith and wife Lois of Statesville; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted 4:00pm Wednesday March 31, 2010 at Carroll Memory Gardens in Carrollton, GA. Rev. Randy King will officiate.
