Paul Mack Sipe 66, of 226 Sipe Road, Taylorsville, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. He was born December 8, 1942 in Alexander County, to Hester Duncan Sipe of Taylorsville and the late James H Sipe. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He worked in a saw mill. He was also a member of St Luke Lutheran Church.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother David Sipe. He is survived by his wife, Linda Coffey Sipe of the home; son, Rex Paul Sipe; daughter, Paula Roxanne Sipe; three brothers, Hayden Sipe and wife Helen, Fred Sipe and wife Jane, Robert Sipe and wife Shirley all of Taylorsville; one sister, Rachel Herman and husband Bob of Thomasville; four grandchildren: Anthony and Andrew Gwaltney, Abagail and Samuel Sipe; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00pm Thursday January 29, 2009 at St Luke Lutheran Church. Rev. Andrew Miller will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 2:30-3:30pm at the church.
