Kathy Renee Rhyne, 57, of 110 Stony Point School Road, Stony Point, passed away Wednesday October 8, 2008 after an extended illness at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 13, 1950, in Iredell County, to the late Boyce Rhyne and Eva Head Rhyne. She was a homemaker and a member of New Beginning Christian Fellowship.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Miller. Survivors include her two brothers, Ned Rhyne of Statesville, Gary Rhyne and wife Cathy of Stony Point; one sister, Margie Alexander and husband Bradley of Sherrill’s Ford; Nephews, Keith Alexander, Jason Miller, Ricky Rhyne, Shane Rhyne, Monte Rhyne; nieces, Karen Alexander, Amy Childers, Tamie Rhyne “Caregiver”, Nedda Stone. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm on Sunday at New Beginning Christian Fellowship. Rev. Chuck Hager and Rev. Phil Addison will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Stony Point cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:30-8:30pm at New Beginning Christian Fellowship and other times at the home. Memorials may be given to New Beginning Christian Fellowship, 776 Smith Farm Road, Stony Point, NC 28678 or Iredell County Hospice, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
