Lelia Belle Mecimore Pharr, age 93 of Hickory passed away Wednesday January 13, 2010 at The Lutheran Home in Hickory, after an extended illness. She was born May 18, 1916 in Alexander County to the late Edward Mecimore and Lillie Anne Hammer Mecimore. She was a homemaker and a member of Concord Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, TomCrafton Pharr; three bothers, Clarence Mecimore, Spence Mecimore and Fred Mecimore; two sisters, Espie Mecimore Childers and Elvie Mecimore.
She is survived by one son, Wayne Pharr and wife Joyce of Conover; two grandchildren, Michelle Bumgarner and Crystal Pharr; two great grandchildren, Morgan Bumgarner and Maddox Bumgarner.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday January 16, 2010 at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tony Dyson will officiate. There will be no formal visitation.
