Richard John Pardue, Jr., age 74 of 412 Rock Barn Road Lot # 1, Conover, passed away, Thursday October 8, 2009 at his home, after an extended illness. He was born on October 25, 1934 in Yadkin County, to the late Rev. Richard John Pardue, Sr. and Callie Garris Pardue. He was a supervisor in a textile mill and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was also a Korean War veteran.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, R B Pardue; three sisters, Pauline Weatherman, Betty Helseckeb, and Mary Lou Pardue.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Shoaf Pardue of the home; one son, Rev. Tim Pardue and wife Pam of Conover; one daughter, Beth Wilson of Conover; two brothers, Howard Pardue of Elkin and Wayne Pardue of Traphill; one sister, Bonnie Francis of Rural Hall; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date by the Rev. David Reece.
