Margaret Renay Oxentine, age 49 of 350 Old Mountain Village Drive , Hiddenite passed away Wednesday June 23, 2010 at her home, after an extended illness. She was born August 1, 1960 in Rowan County to Louis Owens of Taylorsville and the late Frances Torrence Owens. She was a poultry farmer and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her father she is survived by her one son, Ky Oxentine of Hiddenite; two daughters, Chandra Kastrup of Taylorsville, Steffanie Adams of Taylorsville; two sisters, Anita Owens Craig of Hatfield, PA., and Crystal Owens Smith of Wilmington; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted 3:00pm Saturday June 26, 2010 at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sam Vallini will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:00pm prior to the service at Chapman Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the Hospice of Alexander County 50 Lucy Echerd Lane, Taylorsville , NC 28681.
