Harold Ross Norwood 61, of 117 Cloninger Street, Kings Mountain, passed awayTuesday January 13, 2009 at his home on Freedom Drive, Taylorsville. He was born August 25, 1947 in Gaston County to Muriel Phillips Norwood of Bessemer City and the late Everett Norwood. He worked as a machinist. He was also of the Baptist faith.

 In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Ruth Ford Norwood; and his brother, Larry Norwood.  In addition to his mother he is survived by his two sons, David Norwood of Grover, SC and Scott Norwood of High Shoals; one daughter, Sandra Miller of Taylorsville; one brother, Mike Norwood of Bessemer City; four sisters, Linda Spratt of Forest City, Doris Brown of Lanndale, NC, Janice Nash of Bessemer City and Judy Hicks of Tennessee; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Saturday January 17, 2009 at Sisk-Butler Funeral Homein Bessemer City. Rev. Arlie Roten will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Gardens.
