Peter Nigro, Jr., age 74 of 130 Sweetbriar Street, North Wilkesboro, passed away, Monday October 5, 2009 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, after a sudden illness. He was born on November 4, 1934 in Piagine, Italy, to the late Angelo Nigro, Sr. and Carmela Nigro. Mr. Nigro was a retired maintenance man for the city of Margate, Fl. He was a Jehovah’s Witness and a member of Kingdom Hall in Wilkesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Demarco Nigro of the home; one son, Angelo Nigro, III of Blowing Rock; one daughter, Marilyn Authenreith and husband Frank of West Jefferson; one brother, Frank Nigro of Italy; two sisters, Rosa Foresi of Italy, and Carmela Sabatini of MA; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday October24, 2009 at  The Kingdom Hall, 1515 River Street, Wilkesboro. Terry Smola will officiate.
