Shannon Ray Nance, 28, of 55 Raccoon Hollar Dr., Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 17, 2009 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born September 9, 1980 in Iredell County, to Tommy Nance of Statesville and Jerusha Nance of Statesville. He worked in construction.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his stepmother, Lynn Nance; one son, Jeremiah Nance of Taylorsville; one daughter, Makalia Nance of Salisbury; one brother, Brandon Jarrett of Lexington; a step brother, Brian Joyner of Statesville; one sister, Sabrina Romero and husband Silverio of Hiddenite; step sister, Courtney Joyner of Statesville; special nephew, Damian Nance; and number of other Uncles and aunts; nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00pm Monday April 20, 2009 at Poplar Springs Church of God. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour. Rev. Mike Maffucci will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00-9:00pm at Chapman Funeral Home.

I am very sorry to here that Shannon is gone. I didn't here about it until Monday and I could not get to the funeral. But I remember Shannon and his crazy sense of humor. He will be missed so much. My prayers are with you all.
