Harold Lee Morrison, age 75, of 122 Halyburton Rd., Stony Point, lost his battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 16, 2010 from his home. He was born in Alexander County, to the late Jack Morrison and Wilma Fox Morrison. Mr. Morrison served as a paratrooper in the US Army, Air Force, National Guard and Army Reserves. He was self employed.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Springer Morrison of the home; two sons, Jack Morrison and wife Terisa of Stony Point, Steven Morrison of Asheville; one daughter, Joan Morrison Stewart and husband Louis of Catawba; three step children, Duane Rogmeby of Minnesota, Diana Bridges of Charlotte, Deborah Rhodes and husband Gary of Charlotte; one brother, Larry Dean Morrison of Taylorsville; two sisters, Shirley Sharpe and husband Grover of Hiddenite, Evelyn Hammer and husband J.L. of Taylorsville; twelve grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Iredell County Hospice 2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.

I had the pleasure of serving with Harold in the USAR for many years. I do not have the space to tell all the great things I could say about Harold. I just wish his family all the best. Harold will sure be missed in the Morrison family. Love Bob Jones a friend in the USAR
