Raymond Jr. Morgan, age 74 of 108 Morgan Lane, Stony Point passed away Thursday April 22, 2010 at his home after an extended illness. He was born October 2, 1935 in Hampton, TN to the late Robert Morgan and Pearl Whitehead Morgan Miller. He was a carpenter and painter and a member of New Beginning Church .

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father, Jim Miller; one brother, Judge Miller; one sister, Pam Garr; one great grandson; and one great granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Wilson Morgan of the home; four sons, Alvin Morgan, Michael Morgan and wife Carolyn, Jim Morgan, and Stacy Morgan all of Stony Point; three daughters, Tammy Mahala, Lisa Morgan both of Stony Point, Peanut Morgan of Vashti; three brothers, Roy Morgan and wife Gertie, Jimmy Miller and wife Pat all of Statesville, Eddy Miller of Hiddenite; eight sisters, Betty Tilbett and husband Mike of Taylorsville, Bea Davis and husband Buddy, Molly McClanahan both of Stony Point, Ronnetta Miller of Taylorsville, Rhoda Wilker of Brooklyn, MD, Retha Shankle of Atowah, TN, Jean Blevin of Hampton, TN, RainEall Daniels of Johnson City, TN; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be conducted 1:00pm Sunday April 25, 2010 at New Beginning Church. Rev. Chuck Hager will officiate.
