Deborah Ruth Grohman Morgan, 49, of 256 Old Miller Rd, Statesville, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at her home. She was born on March 27, 1959, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Ed Grohman and Doris Grohman Robinette of the home. She was a truck driver. She was also a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Statesville.

In addition to her mother she is survived by one daughter, Michelle Benge and husband Carl of Statesville; one brother, Stanley Lynn Cavin and wife Latatia of Statesville; two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday July 3, 2008 at 4:00pm at Stony Point Baptist Church. Rev. Greg Barefoot will be officiating. Private internment. There will be no formal visitation.

To my bestest friend ever, Debbie I will miss you so very much, even tho we haven't talked in awhile I thought of you often!! We have been friends since we were about 11 years old. We have been thru so much and had so much fun together! I love you Debbie and I will see you again one day and we will again ride rides together and giggle and laugh like lil girls like we used to do. To Doris, Michelle and family, Stan and family my greatest condolences to ya'll. You are in my prayers as is my girl Deb. I have not only lost my best friend I have lost the only sister I ever had. Love and best wishes for ya'll and just know that our girl is now in God's hands and awaiting the time we will all be together again.
