Nellie Mae Ingram Minton, age 70, of Valley Nursing Center of Taylorsville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday March 16, 2009. Nellie was born January 13, 1939 in Alexander County to the late George Haskell Ingram and Edith Margaret Sawyer Ingram. She was a homemaker and a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sylvia M. Rector; and a brother, Raymond Gene Ingram.
She is survived by her two sons, Terry Clyde Minton and wife Linda of Hiddenite, Donnie Lee Minton and wife Helen of Stony Point; three brothers: Jerry “Dino” Ingram and wife Diane, James Ingram and wife Sherry, Wendall Ingram and wife Melody all of Taylorsville; three sisters: Louise I. Loudermelk, Linda Barnes and husband J.D., Phyllis Deal and husband Joe all of Taylorsville; Grandchildren: Brandy Minton, Michael Rector, Ashley Rector, Anthony Minton, Raymond Minton, Jeffrey Cline; Five Great grandchildren; and a number of nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday March 18, 2009 at East Taylorsville Baptist Church. Rev. Jamie Steele will be officiating. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour. Burial will follow in the Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6:00-8:00pm at Chapman Funeral Home and other times the family will assemble at her son Donnie’s at 120 Linda Lane, Stony Point.

We are really going to miss Nellie here at Valley. She was always with us in activities. She loved her jewelry and loved to make them also. She will truly be missed.
