Harold Dean Minton, age 65, of 451 Adams Pond Lane, Taylorsville, passed away, Sunday November 1, 2009 at Frye Regional Hospital, after an extended illness. He was born on May 12, 1944 in Alexander County, to the late Raymond Lee Minton, Sr. and Zola Mae Duncan Minton. Mr. Minton was a bulldozer operator for Adams Construction Company.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Williamson Minton of the home; three sons, Dean Minton of Hiddenite, Ricky Minton of Taylorsville and Bobby Minton of Stony Point; two brothers, Raymond Lee Minton, Jr. of Hiddenite, Gary Wayne Minton of Stony Point; six grandchildren, Bobby Lee Minton Jr., Ashley Renee Minton, Brantley Lee Minton, Jeffrey Wayne Minton, Tiffany Danielle Minton, Britni Rikae Minton; six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00pm Wednesday November 4, 2009 at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Neal McCall will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hiddenite Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:30pm Tuesday evening at Chapman Funeral Home.
