Katherine Perkins Miller, age 83 of 124 Colonial Heights Lane, Statesville went to her heavenly home on Thursday October 29, 2009 at her home, with her family by her side. She was born July 14, 1926 in Iredell County to the late Everette Perkins and Mary Lou Robb Perkins. She was a homemaker. She was also a member of Pressly Memorial ARP Church in Statesville and a lifetime member of the Lady’s Circle of the Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Neill Oliver in 1967; and second husband, George Miller in 2003; two brothers, Glenn Perkins and Carl Perkins; one sister, Margaret Drum; step mother, Ruth Bumgarner Perkins; two step brothers, R C Miller and James Miller; one step sister, Hazel Miller; two grandsons; and a great granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Oliver Barnes and husband John of Taylorsville; two sisters, Mary Neal Miller and Phyllis Miller both of Statesville; grandchildren: Donna England, Neill England, Nathan England, Reuben Barnes; one great grandchild, Caitlin England; her blended family, Richard Miller and wife Grace, David Miller, Barbara Eudy and husband Danny, Marilyn Vinson and husband Curtis all of Statesville, Joel Miller and wife Cindy of Hiddenite; two step sisters, Nettie Clark of Statesville, and Willie Ferrar of New York; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; and family friends, Carol Burke, Sherry and Chrissie Morgan.
A celebration of her life will held at 2:00pm Sunday November 1, 2009 at Pressly Memorial ARP Church. Dr Stephen Myers and Rev. Mark Tankersley will officiate. The family will receive friends briefly after the service, and then burial will follow in the Stony Point Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Pressly Memorial ARP Church at PO Box 5908, Statesville, NC 28687 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.

| Dear Diane and family,
I was deeply saddened to just learn of my dad's (James William Robb) cousin's death. The last time I saw Katherine was when my husband and I stopped overnight in Statesville before going to SC to see our daughter and her and her two sisters took us out to have NC BBQ and we laughed the whole time we were there, that is how I want to remember Katherine. May she rest in peace in her new home in Heaven now with her Heavenly Father. She would want us to find something funny to laugh about every single day. I believe that's how she lived her life. We will all miss her down here but know she is looking down from above and just laughing with joy in her heart.

| My heartfelt sympathy to you for the loss of a dear lady. Katherine and George were a wonderful Christian example for younger couples at Pressly ARP. Her strength, kindness, and loving spirit was so uplifting. I rejoice that she is now with her Lord and Savior.
