William Rodney “Roho” Manuel, age 52 of Statesville passed away Saturday February 27, 2010 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born July 15, 1957 in Iredell County to the late William “Bill” Manuel and Sadie "Kitty" Elliott Manuel. Mr. Manuel was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Parker Manuel of the home; one daughter, Jenna Manuel and fiancée Julio Andrade; two sisters, Paulette Conley and husband Odell, Peggy Williams and husband Steve all of Statesville ; nephew, Paul Manuel; and special friend, Marty Odum.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Wednesday March 3, 2010 at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Maffucci will officiate. Burial will follow in the Stony Point Cemetery . The family will receive friends 7:00-8:30pm Tuesday March 2, 2010 at Chapman Funeral Home, and other times at his sister’s home, 2020 Bristol Rd., Statesville.

| Rodney, I will miss you so much. I will cherish the times we spent mowing the yards or talking football, you'd have Stabler stories I'd have Marino. We'd talk about wrestling and I was so excited to tell you I saw Ric Flair. It will not be the same without you. Kiss Granny, Bill and Ruby for me. I'll see you all soon.

We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God surround you with his loving peace and strength. Know that Rodney was a wonderful man and will be missed by all of us very much. He was so fun to be around. Always joking and cutting up. Keep him alive by remembering all of the laughs and good times and remember we will all see him again someday.

Rodney was a great husband and a wonderful father. When I was growing up, I considered him my second dad. I think about all the good times I had with Jenna, Carolyn and Rodney and it all just puts a smile on my face. It just all seems so surreal. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I love you guys!
