On July 12, 1947, she married Frank Howard Long who preceded her in death on October 20, 1977. She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Avery, Paul, Blaine and Fred Munday: and five sisters: Nellie Munday, Ivey M. Troutman, Ila Munday, Rose M. White and Pearl M. Sherrill.
Survivors include one son, Frank Howard Long, Jr. (Ginger) of Stony Point, four grandchildren: Dennis Long (Melissa) of Mooresville, Michelle Kivett (Dale Rauzi) of Sherrills Ford, Shannon Dagenhart (Hal) of Stony Point and Jeremy Long (Kesha) of Newton, N.C. and seven great grandchildren: Brandon Padgett, Jennifer Dagenhart, Summer Kivett, Justin Dagenhart, Sydney Long, Cooper Rauzi and Caden Long.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jill Rhinehart will be officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Monticello United Methodist Church on Island Ford Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Building Fund of Monticello United Methodist Church, 308 Island Ford Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
