Miss Jessie Clyde Levan, 85, of 3509 NC Hwy 90 East, Statesville, passed away Thursday November 27, 2008 at Brians Center of Statesville. She was born June 14, 1923, in Iredell County to the late James William “Jim” Levan and Jennie Emory Goodwin Levan. She was a textile worker and had worked for Uniglass.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her five brothers, James Levan, Purvey Levan, Clarence Levan, Arthur Levan, Henry Levan; and her five sisters, Pauline Levan, Ollie L. Redmond, Vergie L. Hollar, Frances L. Redmond, Hattie L. Kennedy.
Survivors include her special nephew, Jimmy Levan of Nashville, NC; and many nephews and nieces; grand nephews and grand nieces.
No formal services are planned for Miss Levan, as she had requested.
