Lamar Richard Leatherman, 88, of Valley Street, Statesville, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Brians Center of Statesville. He was born November 26, 1919, in Clark County, OH to the late Otho F. Leatherman and Orpha Barnhart Leatherman. Mr. Leatherman was a WWII Veteran.

Mr. Leatherman had two sisters, twins, Mable and Mildred Leatherman and a brother Harold Leatherman last known of New Carlisle, Ohio.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife,Jean Kincaid Leatherman; and his daughter Nancy J. Powell.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Jill Powell of Statesville.
No formal services will be conducted. The family will have no formal visitation. Burial will be in the Stony Point Cemetery.
