Sandra Jurado, 48, of Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 8, 2009 at her home. She was born September 4, 1960 in Alexandria, VA to Mary Pittman Anderson of Bristol, TN, and the late Melvin Hedrick. She was a nurse’s aide and she was also of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara Wright; and a brother Kenneth Hedrick. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband, Ricardo Jurado of Statesville; sons, David Heden of Statesville and Rudolph Heden of Alabama; brother, Steve Hedrick of Asheville; sisters, Betty Taylor of TN, Cheryl Hayes of Cleveland, NC, Pamela Hedrick of Stony Point, Elizabeth Hicks of VA, and Susan Bennitte of Alabama; one granddaughter, Valerie Wright; The Jurado Family of Statesville; her pet companion – her dog, Baby Girl.
A Graveside service will be conducted 3:30pm Wednesday January14, 2009 at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Flowers can be sent to the Iredell Memorial Gardens Office at 2304 Shelton Avenue, Statesville, NC 28677.

Mary and family - so sorry to read about Sandy. Didn't see the newspaper until after the fact and Rob said he would have attended the services if we had known in time. We both thought so much of Sandy. She wasn't just a care giver to Ruth but I always thought of her as a good friend as well. Thought of her often but as usual life gets in the way of our good intentions. Thought many times to give her a call but just got too busy - no excuse. Hope she did not have to suffer and she did believe in the Lord and tried to live a good life so I am sure she is in a good place.Also did not realize Melvin and Kenny had passed away also. Seems you have had a lot on your plate (as usual). Hope you are healthy and well.
