Danny Ray Jones age 49 of 152 Martin Farm Lane, Hiddenite, passed away Friday June 5, 2009 at Gordon Hospice House after an extended illness. He was born on February 12, 1960 in Chesterfield, SC, to Joyce Joplin Jones of Loris and the late Harold Jones. He was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church and a master carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Pitts Jones of the home; one son, Danny Ray Jones, Jr. of Tabor City; one brother, Rondal Jones of Monroe; three sisters, Janice, Sonia, Vanessa all of Loris; two grand daughters, Charleigh and Chelsea; ten nephews and four nieces; and mother in law, Carol Whitley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00pm on Sunday June 7, 2009 at Pisgah United Methodist Church. Rev. Gary Revels and Rev. Mike Duncan will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00pm in the Pisgah Sanctuary.

Memorials may be given to Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
