Donald Lee Ingram, 77, of 120 Smith Farm Rd, Stony Point, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Gordon Hospice House. He was born on February 9, 1931, in AlexanderCounty, to the late David Ingram and Suma Dyson Fox. He was a textile worker and of the Baptist faith. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Brown Ingram; one step son, Dale Crisp; a half brother, J. C. Fox; a half sister, Martha Neil Robinette; daughter in law Kay Ingram and one grandson, Shannon Ingram.He is survived by his sons, Donnie Ingram of Stony Point, David Ingram of Statesville; step daughters, Juanita Stikeleather, Linda Bordeaux both of Stony Point; a half brother, Babe Fox, Harold Fox, Jimmy Fox all of Stony Point; granddaughters, Chasity Hefner, Shalana Landreth; step granddaughter, Amy Gourley; great grandchildren, Payton, Gavin, Kylie and a number of step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday June 28, 2008 at 1:00pm at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Donald Gant will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Stony PointCemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00-8:30pm at Chapman Funeral Home and other times assemble at the home.
