Roy Franklin Horton, age 70 of 114 Straw Drive, Stony Point passed away Saturday February 6, 2010 at his home. He was born June 22, 1939 in Iredell County to the late Roy Eugene Horton and Amalee Bill Horton. Mr. Horton served in the US Navy. He was a truck driver and a member of Poplar Springs Church of God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Long Horton; and one daughter Cherie Horton.

He is survived by his two sons, Charles Eugene Horton and wife Crystal of Harmony, and William Franklin Horton of the home.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Wednesday February 10, 2010 at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Garland Lambert will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30pm Tuesday February 9, 2010 at Chapman Funeral Home.
