Marie Calloway Henderson, 90, of Statesville, passed away Thursday October 9, 2008 at her home. She was born on February 7, 1918, in Iredell County, to the late Willard “Woots” Calloway and Eunice Nicholson Calloway. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt Pisgah Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro and attended Temple Baptist Church in Statesville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E Henderson; four brothers, Wallace Calloway, BB Calloway, Ralph Calloway and Rassie Calloway; one sister, Polly McIntire.
Survivors include one son Clyde D Henderson and wife Helen of the home; one daughter, Lona Crosby and husband Erik of Cherryville; five grandchildren: Chester and wife Lisa, Kevin and wife Teresa, Gary, Danielle and husband Joe, Ginger and husband Lee; four great grandchildren: Josh, Jessica, Kaitlyn, and Lauren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm on Saturday at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lonnie Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00-2:00pm at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include: Chester and Kevin Henderson, Joe and Josh Moody, Gary Crosby and Rick Carney.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
