Richard Douglas Heatwole, 45, of 272 Old Hwy.1923, Candler, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 2, 2009 in Alexander County. He was born March 11, 1963, in Montgomery County, MD to David S. Heatwole and Reba Woodside Morton both of Florida. He was the owner of a driving range. |
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Heatwole.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his son, Hayes Heatwole; two daughters, Haley Heatwole and Chelsea Heatwole all of Asheville; two brothers, Eugene Heatwole and Davie Heatwole both of FL; three sisters, Mary Jane Heatwole of FL, Sandy Morgan of MD and Lauren Heatwole of FL.
No formal funeral services are planned at this time.

i have known richard over 20 years and me and my son jeff will always remember him from going to the driving range jeff is only 7 but everytime we went richard came down to say hey and compliment jeff on his golf.he will be missed by us.

Big D was a good friend of mine. I have known him and Angie for 8 years. We took many trips together and have fond memories of them. My condolences go out to his parents and family.
