Wesley Eugene Head, age 57 of 603 Sulphur Springs Road, Hiddenite, passed away, Wednesday July 15, 2009 at Iredell Memorial Hospital after extended illness. He was born on October 22, 1951 in Iredell County, to the late Stamey W. Head and Martha Lambert Head. He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Allison; one brother, L. G. “Buck” Head; three sisters, Elsie Stroud, Hazel Cloer and Blanche Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Allison Head of the home; one daughter, Betty Dancy and husband Jack of Hiddenite; two brothers, James R Head and Ralph Thomas Head both of Statesville; two sisters, Gladys Hager and Faye Hager both of Statesville.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. No formal visitation. The family will meet at the home.
