Marjorie Pennell Greenfield, age 63 of 120 Lands Lane, Stony Point passed away Friday July 16, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born May 4, 1947 in Polk County to the late William Jefferson Pennell and Tressie Teague Pennell. She worked in furniture sewing and was also member of Stony Point Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, William Herbert Pennell; one son, Mark Douglas Greenfield; and her fiancée, Sonny Minton.
She is survived by one son, Robert Bradley Greenfield and wife Jeri of Statesville; two daughters, Tammy Louise Greenfield of the home, Patricia O’Donoghue and husband Alden of Belmont; two brothers, Roger Pennell and wife Tyra of Harmony, Danny Pennell and wife Carolyn of Statesville; six grandchildren: Brook, Ashley, Jonathan, Jacob, Kayla, and Hayden; and one great grandson, Michael.
A memorial service will be conducted 4:00pm Monday July 19, 2010 at Stony Point Baptist Church. Rev. Phil Addison will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:30pm at the church prior to the service.
