Della Mae Childers Daniels, 82, of 78 Douglas Avenue NW, Concord, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Carolina Medical Center Northeast in Concord. She was born March 7, 1927 in Alexander County to the late Thad Childers and Maggie Query Childers. Mrs. Daniels was a retired textile worker and radio evangelist. She was also of the Church of God faith. |
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, David Childers and Don Childers; one sister Edna Wike.
Survivors include one son, David Daniels of the home; one daughter, Diana Mackey of Kannapolis; two brothers, Thomas Childers and Fred Childers both of Taylorsville; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Wednesday August 12, 2009 in the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Scott Coley will officiate. Private internment. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm at Chapman Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
