Mary Reba Miller Stewart Dagenhart, age 98 of the Sharon Community in Stony Point passed away Friday January 15, 2010 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born December 3, 1911 in Iredell County to the late Thomas Edward Miller and Lola Jane Alexander Miller. She was a homemaker, a member of Marvin United Methodist Church and a charter member of Marvin U.M.W. since 1950. |
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, C. V. Stewart, Sr. and E Bain Dagenhart; one son, Coite B Stewart; one daughter, Nancy Stewart Estes; one daughter in law, Mary Austin Stewart; three brothers, Lester Miller, Aaron Miller and Troy Lee Miller; two sisters, Bertis “Duck” Haire and Lois Branton.
She is survived by her two sons, C. V. Stewart, Jr. and wife Sandra of Statesville, Clayton Stewart and wife Linda of Chesapeake, VA; one daughter, Priscilla Houston and husband Eddie of Statesville; one brother, Jimmy Miller and wife Frances of Gates County; one sister, Helen Miller of Statesville; one son in law, Elmer Estes; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Sunday January 17, 2010 at Marvin United Methodist Church. Rev. Ron Setzer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery at the church. The family will receive friends 2:00-3:00pm prior to the service.
Memorials may be given to the Union Cemetery of Marvin United Methodist Church in care of Paul Shook, 249 D. G. Eckerd Rd. Taylorsville, NC 28681.

| I as a child and until Aunt Lillian got sick, I visited the Stewart's on Sharon School Road and in Cheaspeake often. I extend my sympathy, and have many happy memories of that time. My mother, Margie, also sends her sympathy. She is living with Martha Kay in Branson, Missouri. May God Be With You In Your Time Of Grief.
