I only met Robbie once, but I remember those few days so fondly. She and her family extended such warm hospitality to me when I visited with Ann. There were tiny babies that had to be fed every three hours all night and I was allowed to assist in that sweet activity. I couldn’t sleep at all because I didn’t want to miss a single moment. During the day, we visited so many animals and I watched the love with which Robbie took care of each and every one. She welcomed me into the habitats and taught me how to be gentle and unafraid. I’ve been thinking about Robbie recently and I knew what Ann’s email would say. She was certainly one of God’s special children. Please extend my deepest sympathy and warmest regards to Robbie’s family.
I loved her, too. MaryE |
Dear Mr. Crouch and family,
Please accept my condolences in the passing of Robbie. I always enjoyed bringing the children I worked with at Baptist Children's Homes and my family out there to tour the farm each summer. She was a delightful person to talk to and touched my life greatly in other ways. Sincerely, Gail Armstrong - Taylorsville, NC |
Dear Carlton and Family,
We will miss our friend Robbie. She has been a joy to swap stories with and hoot with laughter about the mischief of a crow, or antics of one of the many animals in Robbie's kind care. We will never forget the wonderful woman and the great way she would say " Law..zy..day" and laugh. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.

Family of Robbie,
We are so sorry that the world has lost such a special lady. We were not privileged to know her for very long but will treasure the memories of the time in your motor home when we were in Ohio. The good food, including the tomatoes which were so great!!, and the time with the fennec fox babies will be in our special memories forever. You were lucky to have had her for as long as you did. She touched many lives and will be missed.

Carlton & Family,
So sorry for your loss. Worked with Robbie at Brenton Textile years ago. Haven't kept in touch, but thought of her often. She was a special lady that I will remember with much fondness.

Family of Robbie,
I'm so sorry about the death of this special lady. My heart and life was touched by Robbie's so many times. She was very unique and very talented in so many ways. Robbie was always an encourager, never negative about her cancer or her misfortunes in life. She enjoyed getting her hair fixed for some 24 years, but she couldn't have enjoyed that any more than I did because of what I learned from her each week. Her family was very important to her, along with all the special animals that was in her care. I was educated in many ways, and also learned one familar term "Lawzyday". My life has positively been affected by hers, and I've been blessed by knowing her.
With Love and Prayers,

Robbie was a special person to me when we were young. After I left home for work and she was married we grew apart in location, but our hearts were still close. I was not able to visit as often as I would have liked and am not a very good correspondent, but I had her in my heart and prayers. She was, indeed, a very special person and I grieve for her, yet I know she was tired of the fight. I pray for the family God's peace and love to get through the grief and be able to celebrate her life.
