Howard Junior “Boog” Crisp, 78, of 149 Little Egypt Lane, Taylorsville, entered into the gates of heaven to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born March 9, 1930, in Alexander County to the late Joe Hawk Crisp and Elizabeth Adams Crisp. Mr. Crisp was a retired security guard for Clayton Marcus Furniture Company. He was also a member of Stony Point Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Claude Crisp and two sisters, Maude Hepler and Wadie Hammer.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Marie Robinette Crisp of the home; two sisters, Hilda Yates of Spring Lake, Betty Jo Mayberry of Stony Point; a number nephews and nieces; special friends and neighbors, Kim James, Judy James, Pam James and Jeremy James.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 at Stony Point Baptist Church. Rev. Phil Addison will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-5pm prior to the funeral service.
Pallbearers include: Chad Cockrell, Dale Fox, Scotty Higginbotham, Dusty Higginbotham, Aaron Downs and Parker Downs; honorary pallbearers include: Kim James, Jeremy James and Johnny Robinette.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210.
