Janice Elaine Cooke, age 62 of 112 Pecos Lane, Statesville passed away Saturday July 3, 2010 at Iredell Memorial Hospital, after an extended illness. She was born September 29, 1947 in Iredell County to the late Cortez B. Cooke and Dorothy Marie Sisk Cooke. She was a member of Fellowship Church on Buffalo Shoals Road.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Cooke.

She is survived by one brother, James Cooke of Seattle Washington; two sisters, Brenda Morris and Phyllis Dishmond both of Statesville; three nephews; and one niece.

A graveside service will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday July 10, 2010 at Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Beau Mills will officiate.

Memorials may be given to the Murdoch Center, 1600 East C Street, Butner, NC 27509.
