Rickey Alan Chapman, age 43, of 193 Mill Hill Court, Stony Point, passed away, Wednesday May 26, 2010 at his home, unexpectedly. He was born on April 3, 1967 in Alexander County, to Connie Mack “Goo” Chapman and “Dimp” Hoke Chapman of Stony Point. He worked as an upholsterer in Furniture. He was also member of Stony Point Tabernacle.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leroy Hoke; paternal grandparents, David Chapman and Reba Chapman.

In addition to his parents he is survived by two sons, Coty Alan Chapman and Casy Mack Chapman both of Taylorsville; maternal grandmother, Colleen Hoke of Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Sunday May 30, 2010 at Stony Point Tabernacle. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour. Rev. Wes Hammer and Rev. Jerry Chatham will officiate. Burial will be follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:30pm Saturday evening at Stony Point Tabernacle and other times at the home.

Pallbearers include: Henry Bruce, Jeff Greene, Randy Barnes, Dale Allen, Darrell Robinette, Chad Presnell, Andy Lackey and Ricky Speaks.

Memorials may be given to the Chapman Family, 110 Mill Hill Court, Stony Point, NC 28678.
