Marvin Odell Chadwick, age 76 of 164 Ridgeway Dr., Taylorsville passed away Tuesday February 16, 2010 at his home, after an extended illness. He was born October 7, 1933 in Maylin, MS to the late Herman Chadwick and Margaret Boswell Chadwick. Mr. Chadwick was a spring up man in the furniture factory and a member of Mt Olive Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Agnes Ostwalt Chadwick.

He is survived by his two sons, Earl Chadwick of Maryland and Jerry Chadwick of Arkansas; four daughters, Jennifer “Jenny” Perez of Taylorsville, Sue Brown of Taylorsville, Loretta Chadwick of Hickory and Vickie Minton of Taylorsville; two brothers, Buddy Chadwick of West Point, MS and Charles Chadwick of Philadelphia, MS; six sisters, Judy Williamson of Matheson, MS, Betty Jean Dawkins of Starkville, MS, Frances Blackwell of Frankton, LA, and Peggy King of Hartford, CT, Faye Agnelly of Avondale, LA, Mary Carolyn Murray of Metaire, LA; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Friday February 19, 2010 at the Friendly Baptist Church. Rev. Doug Foster and Rev. Mack McKinney will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Thursday February 18, 2010 at the church.
