William John “Bill” Borkowski, age 82 of 129 Cam-A-Will Circle, Stony Point passed away Friday February 5, 2010 at his home after an extended illness. He was born November 8, 1927 in Bloomfield, NJ to the late William Peter Borkowski and Julie Novatka Borkowski. Mr. Borkowski served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a plumber by trade and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Taylorsville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two sons, William John Borkowski, Jr. and David Borkowski.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Mileska Borkowski of the home; three sons, Lawrence Borkowski of Mint Hill, Michael Borkowski of NY, and Martin Borkowski of Statesville; one daughter, Joan Akscin of Statesville; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 9:00am Monday February 8, 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Taylorsville. Father James Byer will officiate. Burial will be in the Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00-8:00pm Sunday February 7, 2010 at Chapman Funeral Home and the Rosary at 7:00pm.
