Kenneth Dale Baity, 72, of 7923 Cheatham Ford Road, Hiddenite, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born November 17, 1936 in Alexander County, to the late Roosevelt “Rose” Baity and Zula Millsaps Baity. He was a building contractor and was also of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by infant daughter, Kathy Renee Baity; two sisters, Coleen Baity Reavis, Loretta Kay Baity.

He is survived by one son, Keith Baity and wife Pamela of Hiddenite, one brother, Gary Baity of Hiddenite, four sisters, Ellen Roberts of Hiddenite, Lois Beckham of China Grove, Lucille Baity of China Grove and Rachel Jolly of Hiddenite; one granddaughter, Amber Baity of Hiddenite.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leslie Pennell will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Stony Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday June 16, 2009 from 7:00-8:30pm at Chapman Funeral Home.
