Miss Vivian Irene Alexander, 75, of 1550 Amity Hill Rd., Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 27, 2009 at her home, after an extended illness. She was born June 10, 1933 in Iredell County to the late Robert Lee Alexander, Sr. and Iona Mae Bridges. She was a member of Boulevard United Methodist Church. But she attended Elmwood Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Alexander Moose and Joyce Alexander Wooten.
She is survived by one brother, Robert Lee Alexander Jr. and wife Evelyn of Escondido, California; two sisters, Jean Harding of Concord, Gwen Bridges of Cleveland; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Friday May 1, 2009 at Elmwood Baptist Church. Rev. Rodney McAllister will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville. The family will receive friends Friday 1:00-2:00pm at the church.
